This guide walks you through setting up a Zapier workflow that syncs high-intent developer or buyer segment data from Reo.Dev directly into your LaGrowthMachine (LGM) audience, powering automated outbound multi-channel LinkedIn & Email campaigns.

Use Case

If you want to:

  • Sync contacts (developers or buyers) from a Reo.Dev segment to LaGrowthMachine.
  • Automatically update the audience whenever new members are added to the segment.
  • Include historical data of the segment as well for the initial campaign launch.

🛠 Prerequisites

Segment TypeOnly Developer or Buyer segments (Account segments are not supported in LGM as it requires contact-level data to create leads in an audience)

⚠️ Handling Historical Data: Choose One Approach

Option 1: CSV (Recommended)

CSV Upload for Historical Data + Zapier for Net New Additions

  1. Go to the Reo.Dev segment (Developer/Buyer).
  2. Download the CSV by selecting the "Other Option".
  3. Upload the CSV into your LGM audience.
  4. Use the Zapier integration to keep it updated automatically.

Option 2 (Webhooks)

Use Webhooks for Backfill

  • If you must sync all data via Zapier, use the Catch Hook trigger in Zapier and assign the webhook in Reo.Dev to the segment.

Step-by-Step Integration (Using Zapier)

We’ll walk through a sample flow:

Send new developers from “Visiting Playbooks - Devs” segment to a LaGrowthMachine audience.

① Set Trigger: Reo.Dev Segment

  1. In Zapier, click Create Zap.
  2. App: Reo.Dev (2.0.0)
  3. Trigger Event: Get Developers from Dev Segment
  4. (Use “Get Buyers from Buyer Segment” if you intend to use a buyer segment)
  5. Connect your Reo.Dev account.
  6. Select the segment: Visiting Playbooks - Devs.
  7. Test trigger → Confirm sample record is pulled.

② (Optional) Formatter Step: First Name Extraction

📌 Why: Makes your messaging more personal by using only the first name.

  1. Action: Formatter by Zapier
  2. Event: Text → Split Text
  3. Input: Developer Name
  4. Separator: space
  5. Output: First name (used in LGM step)

③ Action: Create Lead in LaGrowthMachine

  1. App: LaGrowthMachine
  2. Action Event: Create Lead in an Audience
  3. Connect your LGM account
  4. Configure:

  1. Test step → Confirm lead appears in your LGM audience.
  2. Click Publish to activate.
