About GrowthBook

GrowthBook is an open-source feature flagging and experimentation platform that helps product teams ship features faster, measure their impact, and make data-driven product decisions. By combining feature management, experimentation, and product analytics, GrowthBook enables engineering and product teams to confidently release and optimize new features.

The Challenge

GrowthBook's free and open-source offerings generate significant inbound interest from developers. While some prospects request demos, many others explore GrowthBook independently - visiting its website and documentation or signing up for a free account before ever speaking with Sales.

GrowthBook wanted visibility into this self-serve buying journey. The team was already using Apollo for basic account de-anonymization, but needed a deeper understanding of which organizations were actively researching GrowthBook, how strong their interest was, and which accounts Sales should prioritize.

As GrowthBook continued to scale rapidly, the larger goal was to turn this intelligence into a repeatable system for identifying, prioritizing, and eventually nurturing high-potential accounts automatically.

How GrowthBook Uses Reo.Dev

GrowthBook is using Reo.Dev to turn its self-serve funnel into an increasingly automated Sales intelligence engine. By combining developer activity with product, CRM, and account data, the team identifies high-potential accounts, surfaces them directly to Sales, and understands what each account is researching before a rep engages.

  • Identifying and Prioritizing thousands of High-Potential Accounts

At any given time, GrowthBook tracks thousands of accounts across its different surfaces.

The team combines Reo.Dev signals with free and self-service Pro sign-up data to distinguish high-potential organizations from the broader volume of inbound activity. Developer activity, account characteristics, and engagement patterns help GrowthBook identify which organizations warrant Sales attention - including those that haven't explicitly requested a demo.

  • Turning Account Prioritization into a Daily Sales Workflow

GrowthBook has operationalized this intelligence through automated workflows that bring priority accounts directly to Sales.

Every day, free and Pro sign-ups are evaluated alongside Reo.Dev intelligence to identify accounts worth investigating. A structured summary is then delivered directly into the Sales Slack channel, highlighting high-potential sign-ups and accounts showing meaningful activity.

GrowthBook also monitors surging accounts and activity from accounts already owned by individual reps, so Sales can quickly spot when an account's interest increases and act while that activity is happening.

  • Building a 360° View of Priority Accounts

GrowthBook uses Reo.Dev's MCP Server alongside HubSpot and its own product analytics to build a 360° view of priority accounts and open opportunities.

For each account, the team creates a structured intelligence brief that brings together relevant contacts, buying signals, product activity, website engagement, and documentation research. GrowthBook defines the signals and areas of interest that matter most to its business, so each brief surfaces specific technical research - from the SDKs an account is exploring and its interest in self-hosting, to feature flags, experimentation, integrations, and deployment.

For accounts already in the sales cycle, these briefs give reps visibility into the self-serve research happening outside the sales conversation. They can see what an account has explored, which technical topics appear most relevant, and the buying signals it has demonstrated - giving them richer context to prepare for more informed and personalized conversations.

  • Building Toward Automated Lead Scoring and Personalization

GrowthBook is now using Reo.Dev's MCP Server to develop a lead-scoring model that combines developer activity with CRM, product, ICP, and other account-level data.

The goal is to determine which signals indicate the strongest buying intent and ultimately automate how high-potential accounts are prioritized and engaged.

Business Outcomes

Reo.Dev is helping GrowthBook build a more scalable, signal-driven GTM motion by:

  • Tracking thousands of high-potential accounts at any given time, creating a focused pool of quality accounts for Sales to engage.
  • Turning a large self-serve funnel into prioritized Sales intelligence, automatically surfacing the accounts and activity that warrant attention.
  • Giving Sales visibility into research happening outside the sales conversation, helping reps better understand priority accounts and open opportunities.
  • Building toward automated lead scoring and personalized outreach, as GrowthBook scales its GTM motion.
“At any given time, we have thousands of companies on our website and testing out our free and self-serve products.  Tracking all of these accounts and their activity without Reo would be overwhelming.  Instead, our sales team can instantly pinpoint the highest potential accounts and focus their attention where they can have the most impact.” - Ashley Stirrup, CMO, GrowthBook
